"Hey James, wanna go out to the movies Saturday night? My treat..." Sandy Jones flashed her brilliant white teeth at me as she approached me after Math.

"I... Er... Umm... What?" was all I could muster. Here was homecoming queen, swinging her pantene-advertisement hair, asking me out on a date?

"That's a 'Yes' then! See you Saturday!", and left with her boyfriend, watching from not far off.

I sighed as they both drove off in his Hummer.

Perhaps I should give myself a little introduction.

Born James Peter Arlotte, I was an only child. As a freshman in high school, I still had plenty to learn. I enjoy math, biology, and would hope to pursue a career in Cardiology. I am also the school geek. Outcast. Whatever you want to call me. I mean, they even reserved a table for me at lunch. Alone.

That's as interesting as my life will ever get. Maybe this Saturday, things may change... Maybe...

I crept out of the closet. He was definitely still around. Upstairs? Downstairs? Who knew. I never liked seeing him. He's always freaking me out. The first time I saw him was when I was in Kindergarten. He stood outside the window, waving to me as I was playing blocks with Jim. I waved back. I never saw Jim from then since. Mom said that he left for some place called "Heaven". I wonder if I will ever get the chance go there.

Wait a minute, where's Dad?

I ran up the stairs, worried about my only son. Running towards the room at the of the corridoor, I breathed a sigh of relief. He was still in bed, fast asleep.

"He's here."
"OK. Have you fed him?"
"I'll get takeout..."

I closed the door with a silent creak as I left the room.

Running around the house in his underwear? This will be interesting. Imagine the police thinking of this as a crime of passion...

The thought of it made me laugh.

Wait.

I do not laugh.

This is a job. Take this seriously.

I needed to kill him. I needed to do it now.

I walked out into the corridoor, waiting for him to come running down it again, only to meet his death.
