He looked across the street, staring at the girl playing in her front yard.
Her hair was as yellow as the morning sun, and her smile was just as radiant. Looking up, she saw him looking at her out of his window and waved. Startled by this, Noah tripped backwards and almost knocked his head on the door knob behind him, a feat which was definitely possible in a room as small as his.
Creeping back up, he looked out of the window again only to see her being led back into the house by her mom, who was lecturing her about playing with mud in the garden again.
"But I was making mud cakes for Noah!", her voice drifted to his ears. Whatever her mother's reply was, she wasn't very pleased. No mom would be, given that Noah was... So to say, abnormal.
"Oh will you please look at the time already! You're gonna be late for the appointment!", bellowed his mom as her heard the creaks of her making her way up the stairs to, no doubt, torture him awake. Not giving her a chance to, he hurried quickly into the bathroom, the only room with a key-less lock, for privacy reasons.
He hated going for the appointments. They were never fun. Having them poke him here and there and testing every single thing from whether his brain could tell 2 people with similar traits apart to whether his piss was brown or yellow.
A rap came on the door as he was deep in thoughts. His mom's voice sounded considerably softer through this door, "Be quick, whatever you're doing in there. We're leaving in 10 minutes!"
"Yea... Coming...", he mumbled inaudibly, staring at the mirror in front of him. Slowly touching his own face, he wondered why this had to happen to him. Why couldn't he be like the other kids?
"5 Minutes..."
Noah stared out the window. Why was he named Noah, he always wanted. Was he, like the biblical Noah, meant to save the people from the flood?
This was when he noticed the little sounds just right outside his window. Looking down, he saw her, her with her blond hair and beautiful smile, right outside his window.
"Hey! I heard you're going to see the mean guys again! So, I stole some cookies my mommy made for you!"

I just don't get some people sometimes. I offer help when needed and help whenever asked. Yet sometimes when I ask for a small favour, all they do is to swear at me, and refuse to help.
I just don't get some people.
Then there are some others, who when I talk to them, they claim I have "changed my sense of humour", not say "hi", and blame me for jumping straight to the topic.
Is all this my fault?
