Claudia
now playing:
- I Don't Want To Miss A Thing - David Cook
Walking along the dark pavements of the city, Claudia wrapped her coat tightly around her, holding her purse closer. It has been rumoured that there had been several incidents of "special circumstances" which had happened around that area, none of which anyone did dare to discuss given the political instability at present time.
"Damn it, where's a man when you need one?", she questioned the darkness before her.
As though in response, footsteps that seemed so far away minutes ago sounded right behind her now. Not daring to turn around, for fear of her own life, she quickened her pace, and started turning into a smaller, darker road, the irony of which was that it would actually lea to the town hall, where a celebration of sorts should have been going on then.
Behind her, the footsteps sped up too, as though chasing her. She finally mastered enough courage to steal a quick glance behind by using her handy make-up mirror, only to experience an electric current of 1000 volts course through her body.
"Got another one here. Doesn't look like its her though. For one, she doesn't have the mark.", Marcus's said into his walkie, while inspecting "Claudia's" body.
"Ditch her with the rest. She can't be too far off. We need to get to the original before
they do." came the reply from the other far off side.
"Got an ID. Claudia #179096..." there was a falter in his voice.
The voice on the other end kept silent. It was known that the original could duplicate herself, but it just didn't seem possible that she had more than a million copies by this time...
"Sir? What's your next order?" crackled the walkie in his hand.
"Just bag her. We still need to get her, no matter how many more there are. Check if this one has anything special and inform me as soon as possible."
There was a pause as to the strange order, before Marcus replied, "Roger that. Over and Out."
